An ancient tree leans over a calm lake as afternoon sunlight filters through its bare branches in a crisp black-and-white landscape. The gnarled trunk, rough bark, and sweeping limbs remain sharply detailed, while the distant shoreline softens across the water. A bright sunburst sits within the canopy, adding a luminous focal point to the open lakeside setting.
The tree's reflection extends across the glassy surface below, forming a second canopy from the same curves, forks, and fine twigs visible above. Dark bark anchors the center of the composition while the still water preserves a near-symmetrical view beneath the brighter rays. The spacious monochrome setting combines old-growth texture, quiet water, and reflected branchwork in a calm nature portrait.
Display in a primary bedroom or wellness center with another tree themed print to continue the calm, grounded nature theme, then add a tree identification book to echo the subject and a charcoal gray throw pillow to soften the black-and-white contrast.

GALLERY WRAPPED: If you order your print GALLERY WRAPPED (which we highly recommend), you will receive all 5 panels professionally stretched and mounted to our custom-built wood stretcher bars in the classic gallery wrap style. 100% hand-made in our shop with love and attention to detail, our gallery wrapped prints are ready to hang upon delivery.
PRINTED FABRIC ONLY: For the Do-It-Yourselfers, our prints are also available as PRINTED FABRIC ONLY linen canvas fabric panels.
If you order your print as PRINTED FABRIC ONLY you will receive only the five pieces of canvas fabric, printed with the design of your choice and rolled up for shipping.
These fabric panels include a white border for attaching to stretcher bars, foam core or whatever mounting method you choose. This border can be trimmed upon request.
To achieve the best fit and finish at the lowest cost we do recommend that you order your print gallery wrapped and let us do the stretching and mounting for you, but the choice is ultimately up to you!
