The Matterhorn stands over the glacial lake with its steep, horned summit cut clean against the sky. Snow clings to the upper faces while dark rock shows through beneath, giving the mountain a hard, sculpted profile. The pale water at the base and the cold mix of blue, white, and charcoal make the whole scene look crisp and still.
Rocky shelves and snowfields spread around the shoreline, opening the view even with the peak near the center. Smaller ridges sit on both sides, which adds a balanced frame, and the cloud-streaked sky makes the upper half darker without closing it in. It feels like the edge of winter, while the still water makes the alpine cold look calmer than the rock and ice alone.
Hang in a bedroom or travel agency with another mountain themed print to bring in rugged natural beauty; add a vintage ice axe replica as an adventurous spirit and a slate blue wool throw to keep the cool tranquility.

GALLERY WRAPPED: If you order your print GALLERY WRAPPED (which we highly recommend), you will receive all 5 panels professionally stretched and mounted to our custom-built wood stretcher bars in the classic gallery wrap style. 100% hand-made in our shop with love and attention to detail, our gallery wrapped prints are ready to hang upon delivery.
PRINTED FABRIC ONLY: For the Do-It-Yourselfers, our prints are also available as PRINTED FABRIC ONLY linen canvas fabric panels.
If you order your print as PRINTED FABRIC ONLY you will receive only the five pieces of canvas fabric, printed with the design of your choice and rolled up for shipping.
These fabric panels include a white border for attaching to stretcher bars, foam core or whatever mounting method you choose. This border can be trimmed upon request.
To achieve the best fit and finish at the lowest cost we do recommend that you order your print gallery wrapped and let us do the stretching and mounting for you, but the choice is ultimately up to you!
