Product Details
The Las Vegas Strip stretches north along Las Vegas Boulevard on a bright summer afternoon in 1969, packed with vintage automobiles moving beneath a dense canopy of towering roadside marquees. The newly opened, iconic Circus Circus clown sign stands out prominently as a bold neon beacon, sharing the bustling corridor with familiar everyday fixtures like a Phillips 66 station and a Denny's restaurant. Captured in striking black-and-white, the scene buzzes with mid-century energy as retro traffic navigates the legendary lineup of classic motels and early casino signs.
The Westward Ho casino rises sharply beside the boulevard as cars stream past the uniquely curved architecture of the La Concha Motel. Commissioned by the Las Vegas News Bureau on July 27, 1969, this historic photograph masterfully preserves a snapshot of the Strip's rapid evolution, documenting how everyday commercial stops and world-famous entertainment venues coexisted side by side. As classic cars crawl between these landmark roadside businesses, the crowded skyline perfectly encapsulates the unforgettable, golden-era character of late-1960s Vegas.
In a game room or lounge, pair it with another Las Vegas Strip print to continue the Las Vegas Strip theme. A framed vintage Las Vegas postcard suits the period setting nearby, while a matte black table lamp complements the monochrome tones.
