A towering papier-mache float rises above Corso Umberto I during the 2014 Carnival of Putignano, with a top-hatted caricature high over the parade route in a black tuxedo and white shirt. Smaller figures crowd the platform below, adding exaggerated proportions and comic detail beneath the oversized centerpiece. The float fills the street with the scale and theatrical character of Putignano's carnival procession.
Deni Bianco's second-place creation passes the historic stone facades and iron balconies of Putignano's town center, with smaller caricatures arranged across the lower platform beneath the giant figure. Their exaggerated forms and densely worked surfaces reflect the town's cartapesta tradition, while the surrounding architecture places the elaborate float directly within the old streets. Satire, monumental scale, and handcrafted papier-mache detail all remain central to the 2014 procession.
Display it in a game room or cultural center beside another travel themed print to continue the Italian carnival theme, with a carnival mask near the display and a deep blue throw pillow echoing the open sky.
- Small: Each panel is ~4" wide. Best suited for small wall spaces, such as a bathroom, kitchen, small office etc. Best for viewing from short distances.
- Medium: Each panel is ~8" wide. Best suited for mixed use applications, where the print may most often be viewed close up or from a short distance.

- Extra Large (BEST SELLER): Each panel is ~16" wide. Best viewed from medium distances and above (6 feet+). PRINTED FABRIC ONLY: For the Do-It-Yourselfers, our prints are also available as PRINTED FABRIC ONLY linen canvas fabric panels.
If you order your print as PRINTED FABRIC ONLY you will receive only the five pieces of canvas fabric, printed with the design of your choice and rolled up for shipping.
These fabric panels include a white border for attaching to stretcher bars, foam core or whatever mounting method you choose. This border can be trimmed upon request.
To achieve the best fit and finish at the lowest cost we do recommend that you order your print gallery wrapped and let us do the stretching and mounting for you, but the choice is ultimately up to you!
