A humpback whale surges from the coastal waters off Alaska, twisting above the surface as white spray rises around its dark body. One broad pectoral fin reaches toward the sky while the tail drops toward the deep blue sea, holding the massive animal fully airborne for a brief instant. Beyond the burst of spray, the whale remains clear against the open water, revealing the scale and power of the breach.
Steep mountains covered in dense pine forest follow the quiet shoreline behind the whale, surrounding the sudden movement with a broad Alaskan wilderness. Mist hangs over the churned surface as the humpback begins to fall back toward the ocean, its immense body still rising above the dark water. The forested coast and deep blue sea make the brief airborne moment feel even more dramatic.

GALLERY WRAPPED: If you order your print GALLERY WRAPPED (which we highly recommend), you will receive all 5 panels professionally stretched and mounted to our custom-built wood stretcher bars in the classic gallery wrap style. 100% hand-made in our shop with love and attention to detail, our gallery wrapped prints are ready to hang upon delivery.
PRINTED FABRIC ONLY: For the Do-It-Yourselfers, our prints are also available as PRINTED FABRIC ONLY linen canvas fabric panels.
If you order your print as PRINTED FABRIC ONLY you will receive only the five pieces of canvas fabric, printed with the design of your choice and rolled up for shipping.
These fabric panels include a white border for attaching to stretcher bars, foam core or whatever mounting method you choose. This border can be trimmed upon request.
To achieve the best fit and finish at the lowest cost we do recommend that you order your print gallery wrapped and let us do the stretching and mounting for you, but the choice is ultimately up to you!

We present the resulting prints on a canvas fabric composed of our exclusive linen/poly blend.
