Dark cumulonimbus fills the sky over an open sea at night. Multiple cloud-to-sea lightning bolts are visible at mid-frame, with one wide channel breaking into forks and a second, brighter discharge to the right lighting a small rain shaft. The ocean surface shows wind-pushed chop and short crests; a faint horizon line separates deep indigo water from steel-blue cloud. Whitecaps catch the flashes so the scene reads clearly at distance without clutter.
Closer viewing shows fine ramification in the main channel, secondary leaders, and diffuse glow inside the cloud wall. The palette stays simple: navy and slate for water and cloud, with clean white for the electrical traces and small cyan edges where spray lifts. The strong vertical strokes of the bolts set a stable structure against the horizontal water bands, giving a calm focal point for spaces using wood, stone, and muted textiles.
Hang in a living room or office and pair with another weather themed print to keep the set consistent; add a small storm-glass barometer for subject focus and a navy throw pillow to echo the cool palette.

GALLERY WRAPPED: If you order your print GALLERY WRAPPED (which we highly recommend), you will receive all 5 panels professionally stretched and mounted to our custom-built wood stretcher bars in the classic gallery wrap style. 100% hand-made in our shop with love and attention to detail, our gallery wrapped prints are ready to hang upon delivery.
PRINTED FABRIC ONLY: For the Do-It-Yourselfers, our prints are also available as PRINTED FABRIC ONLY linen canvas fabric panels.
If you order your print as PRINTED FABRIC ONLY you will receive only the five pieces of canvas fabric, printed with the design of your choice and rolled up for shipping.
These fabric panels include a white border for attaching to stretcher bars, foam core or whatever mounting method you choose. This border can be trimmed upon request.
To achieve the best fit and finish at the lowest cost we do recommend that you order your print gallery wrapped and let us do the stretching and mounting for you, but the choice is ultimately up to you!
