A lion faces forward in a burst of saturated color, with green eyes, a broad nose, and a mane broken into sharp bands of cobalt, magenta, yellow, orange, and blue. The black background strips everything back, so the expression stays direct and the face holds the frame without distraction. It feels bold and self-possessed, but still unmistakably feline.
The close crop keeps the portrait balanced, while the shifting blocks of color give the mane movement without softening the lion's structure. Bright pink, emerald, orange, and electric blue push the Fauvist style forward, yet the gaze remains steady and grounded at the center. That mix of graphic intensity and clear animal form sets the piece's modern, regal presence.

GALLERY WRAPPED: If you order your print GALLERY WRAPPED (which we highly recommend), you will receive all 5 panels professionally stretched and mounted to our custom-built wood stretcher bars in the classic gallery wrap style. 100% hand-made in our shop with love and attention to detail, our gallery wrapped prints are ready to hang upon delivery.
PRINTED FABRIC ONLY: For the Do-It-Yourselfers, our prints are also available as PRINTED FABRIC ONLY linen canvas fabric panels.
If you order your print as PRINTED FABRIC ONLY you will receive only the five pieces of canvas fabric, printed with the design of your choice and rolled up for shipping.
These fabric panels include a white border for attaching to stretcher bars, foam core or whatever mounting method you choose. This border can be trimmed upon request.
To achieve the best fit and finish at the lowest cost we do recommend that you order your print gallery wrapped and let us do the stretching and mounting for you, but the choice is ultimately up to you!
