Chief Joseph occupies the center of this historic montage of Native American leaders, surrounded by portraits drawn from Edward S. Curtis photographs. Feathered headdresses, braided hair, ceremonial dress, and weathered faces appear in clear monochrome detail, bringing the individual portraits together while keeping each person distinct.
Red Cloud and Two Moon appear among the surrounding figures as the portraits overlap against a dark background. Traditional adornment, braided hair, and individual expressions remain visible across the group, giving each leader a recognizable presence within the montage. The black-and-white treatment suits the historical character of Curtis's portrait photography and the record it preserves.
In a library or boardroom, pair it with another travel themed print to add more history and a sense of place. An Edward S. Curtis photography book provides deeper context, while a charcoal gray area rug carries the monochrome tones through the room.

PRINTED FABRIC ONLY: For the Do-It-Yourselfers, our prints are also available as PRINTED FABRIC ONLY linen canvas fabric panels.
If you order your print as PRINTED FABRIC ONLY you will receive only the five pieces of canvas fabric, printed with the design of your choice and rolled up for shipping.
These fabric panels include a white border for attaching to stretcher bars, foam core or whatever mounting method you choose. This border can be trimmed upon request.
To achieve the best fit and finish at the lowest cost we do recommend that you order your print gallery wrapped and let us do the stretching and mounting for you, but the choice is ultimately up to you!
