Product Details
Roy's Motel and Cafe sits under an expansive desert sky in Amboy, California, its iconic retro starburst sign rising boldly above a quiet, historic Route 66 stop. The classic fuel canopy and low-slung motel cabins stretch across the sun-baked, sandy lot while a few parked cars rest beneath the red support beams, all framed by the rugged Mojave mountains lining the far horizon. Still and beautifully preserved, the property carries the unmistakable, legendary presence of a classic American roadside landmark.
The stylized script of Roy's, the neon "VACANCY" sign, red-accented Googie geometric shapes, and vintage gas station fixtures perfectly preserve the nostalgic spirit of mid-century highway travel. The minimalist motel cabins sit low against the open sand as the majestic Mojave backdrop expands behind them, enveloping the property in a deep desert quiet. From the tip of the starburst sign to the edge of the fuel canopy, every remaining detail keeps the rich history of the Mother Road vibrantly alive.
Hang it in a garage or diner alongside another Route 66 themed print to continue the open-road nostalgia. A vintage gas pump model brings in classic Route 66 character, and a crimson red throw pillow carries the sign accents through the surrounding space.
