The Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird sits head-on in the hangar, its long nose, tandem cockpit, and broad engine nacelles rising out of the dark with unmistakable focus. Intake spikes sharpen the front view, while the landing gear and thin reflection below keep the aircraft grounded. The scene carries the quiet force and controlled tension that made the Blackbird such a lasting Cold War icon.
Cool gray highlights skim the chine edges and canopy, giving the jet just enough definition against the black background. GALLERY WRAPPED: If you order your print GALLERY WRAPPED (which we highly recommend), you will receive all 5 panels professionally stretched and mounted to our custom-built wood stretcher bars in the classic gallery wrap style. 100% hand-made in our shop with love and attention to detail, our gallery wrapped prints are ready to hang upon delivery.
PRINTED FABRIC ONLY: For the Do-It-Yourselfers, our prints are also available as PRINTED FABRIC ONLY linen canvas fabric panels.
If you order your print as PRINTED FABRIC ONLY you will receive only the five pieces of canvas fabric, printed with the design of your choice and rolled up for shipping.
These fabric panels include a white border for attaching to stretcher bars, foam core or whatever mounting method you choose. This border can be trimmed upon request.
To achieve the best fit and finish at the lowest cost we do recommend that you order your print gallery wrapped and let us do the stretching and mounting for you, but the choice is ultimately up to you!
