Product Details
The USS Missouri cuts through the open sea as its forward 16-inch guns fire a main-battery salvo, sending intense flames and heavy smoke billowing above the bow while the Iowa-class battleship continues on course. The long forward deck and towering superstructure remain clearly visible behind the massive blast as gun smoke spreads over the ship.
Rendered in striking black and white, the steel hull and active main battery stand sharply against the open water. Known affectionately as "Mighty Mo," the battleship is captured here off Chongjin, North Korea, during the historic October 21, 1950 shore bombardment operation, creating a powerful monochrome scene that honors its pivotal Korean War service.
Display it in a den or history room with another battleship themed print to build a naval-history display. A battleship scale model adds a direct maritime reference, while a charcoal area rug complements the monochrome tones.
